WE HONOR VETERANS

we honor veterans

As a We Honor Veterans Partner, Oyuna Hospice will implement ongoing Veteran-centered education for our staff and volunteers to help improve the care we provide to the Veterans we proudly serve. The nation is seeing most of the Veterans who served in World War II and Korean pass away—and the number of deaths of Vietnam Veterans is beginning to rise.

By recognizing the unique needs of our nation’s Veterans who are facing a life-limiting illness, Oyuna Hospice is better able to accompany and guide Veterans and their families toward a more peaceful ending. In cases where there might be some specific needs related to the Veteran’s military service, combat experience or other traumatic events, Oyuna Hospice will find tools to help support those they are caring for.

“We thank Oyuna Hospice so much for partnering in the We Honor Veterans program and providing overdue recognition to our father,” says a client of Oyuna Hospice. We understand how a Veteran’s military service, combat experience or other traumatic events, could impact their end-of-life experience.”

America’s Veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve our country and it is never too late to give them a hero’s welcome home. Oyuna Hospice staff provides the last opportunity for Veterans to feel that their service was not in vain, and that they are appreciated. We have taken an oath to honor and recognize the Veterans we are privileged to serve, because it is the right thing to do for those that have served us.Veteran To Veteran Volunteers
